Joan Leopold

I would like to express my regret and condolences over the death of Prince Philip. Although he was no relative of the royal family, my husband John William Leopold passed away suddenly on 29 March 2021. His family name was “Leopold” and one of his family members had worked in the early 19th century for the Dukes of Hesse. It is ironic that he died on Albany Street in London, which is named after a Leopold uncle of Queen Victoria and which is also associated with Leopold, Duke of Albany, the son of Queen Victoria.
