Book of condolence for October 2025
Manchester extends its deepest sympathy and support following the horrific incident outside Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue this morning (2 October 2025).
This attack, which occurred on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, a time of reflection, prayer and peace, has understandably caused shock and sorrow across our city. The full details are to be updated, but police colleagues at GMP have confirmed that people were treated for injuries, including fatalities.
Our thoughts are with the victims, their families, and all members of the Jewish community.
